About Papa:
Papa is a techie-geek. He moved from Australia several years ago, and in a bizarre twist of fate married a Dutch chick who moved from The Netherlands even more years ago. He also was fortunate enough to adopt four of her kids, who were the ones who first called him Papa. Papa works for a company who’s business involves making money. Ok, ok, so thats what most companies (other than US Auto Manufacturers) do, but this company literally makes money – they take insane amounts of money, and turn it into even more insane amounts of money, all while keeping a slightly-less-insane amount of money to themselves, some of which eventually finds its way to Papa’s family.
In addition to being a techie-geek Papa is also a system-geek. He knows the California Facilities Licensing codes quite well, including the places where it actually contradicts California legislation. Mama probably knows the system better though. He also can tell you what an Apostille is, in case you’re ever stuck in a country that is a signatory to the Hague Convention.
About Mama:
Mama will write something here when she feels like it, or more likely when she gets a chance. Which will be on a Sunday. Three years from now.
Allrightie Papa, here she comes.
Mama is 39 years old, married to the geek who wrote his bio above hers, and gave birth to 5 kids, 4 of them adopted by the Papa. The Not Adopted One lives about 5 minutes from here with the Dad Person, who the mama was once marriedto for a very long time.
Mama is a singer-songwriter who used to have regular gigs but now mainly sings at church and in the shower. Mama is also a veteran foster parent who is probably not recertifying this year because she really isn’t loving the ways of the system much lately.
Currently, mama’s Big Dream is adopting a child with Down’s Syndrome. Preferably Little Man in Moldova.

Jennifer shared your blog with me so I can be praying for you. My wife and I recently adopted at 15-year-old from Moldova and we know the process well. If anyone can help, it is Julie from CAS – a good, Godly woman who works hard for families. And even though the process in Moldova is crazy, she has people on the ground that do whatever it takes to place children in loving homes. If my wife and I can be of any assistance, please let us know. jon@sweetsleep.org is my e-mail address.
Praying for you today,
Jon Merryman
